Pizza places in the United States run from a counter with two stools and a stack of boxes to a full sit-down pizzeria with a bar, and most neighborhood shops do all three things at once: dine-in, takeout and delivery. Ordering by phone is still common and often faster than an app, and many independents charge less when you call direct because there is no platform fee. Sizes are usually listed in inches (a small around 10", a large 14", an extra-large 16" or more), and a large feeds two to three adults. Slices are sold from a display case at New York-style counters and reheated to order; whole pies take 15-25 minutes at a busy shop. Most spots take cards and mobile pay, though a few older pizzerias remain cash-only, so check the door or the listing before you order.
Hours are published for 7 days a week. Typical hours are 11 amβ12 am. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. Flushing is in New York, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. Traffic in Flushing peaks on weekday mornings and afternoons, so allow extra time then. Addresses read from the street number up to the city, state abbreviation and five-digit ZIP code; the map link on this page shows the exact spot.

Been meaning to check out The Pizza Professor for a while and finally made the trip. Decided to try the Jerusalem pie, which is honestly one of the more unique pizzas I have come across. It comes topped with corn, green olives, and a really nice spice blend that gives it a bold, savory kick you just do not get on a regular pie. The flavors all worked together surprisingly well, and each slice had that nice balance of sweetness from the corn, brininess from the olives, and warmth from the spices. The crust held up nicely too, not too thick, not too thin, with a solid chew and good structure. A few things worth knowing before heading over. The spot itself is pretty small, more of a quick pickup style shop than somewhere you would post up for a meal. If you are looking for a sit down pizza night, this is not really the vibe. They also do not sell by the slice, which is something to keep in mind if you are just cruising by and hoping to grab a quick bite. You have to commit to a whole pie, so plan accordingly or bring friends. The one real knock on the experience was the guy working the counter. He had a bit of an attitude and did not really make you feel welcome walking in. Not the

Very grateful to Eliezer Who helped redeliver my order when an Uber driver tampered with it. He contacted Uber and they were not very helpful so he went out of his way to make sure everything was re delivered hot and fresh. Great, fast service and delicious food,

Absolutely delicious pizza. I have tasted pizza in a few continents and Pizza Professorβs pizza definitely is the best of them all. What makes it so special? The toppings. If you like spicy try their cheese pizza with jalapeΓ±os. If spicy isnβt your thing, the cheese sticks are amazing too. You wonβt be disappointed. Daily, when my pizza professor craving starts I run to order and their staff is quick to please. Always easier to wake up in the am when I know a pie from pizza professor is for lunch/dinner. In addition to the fabulous pizza they also have late hours and the friendliest staff. Looking forward to my next bite.
